Child Therapy

Child therapy, like individual therapy, is a process through which a child works one-on-one with a clinician for emotional health and wellness.

Child Therapy usually consists of a 50-minute session where child and therapist explore a target concern in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Depending on what this concern is, therapy may consist of talking and processing. Other concerns (and ages) may be better treated with art therapy, EMDR, play therapy, or sand tray therapy. Parents or guardians may be brought in for part of the session in order to help facilitate the work.
